Mek Meku Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the Mek Meku service ("Service", "We") collects, uses, and protects information about users ("You") who visit our website.

1. General provisions

By using the Service, You agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy. We comply with the requirements of the legislation of Armenia (Law on Personal Data Protection), the Russian Federation (Federal Law No. 152-FZ on Personal Data), and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

We collect data necessary for the mutual-aid marketplace to function: Profile data: first name, last name, email address, phone number. Task data: the text of your requests, location, photos, and video reports on completed tasks. Payment information: we use the secure Stripe system to process payments. We do not store your full bank card details on our servers. Technical data: IP address, browser type, cookies for the correct operation of your account.

3. Purposes of data collection

We use your data solely to: Enable communication between the Customer and the Provider. Moderate accounts to keep the community safe. Process transactions and reward payouts. Send notifications about the status of your tasks. Improve the Service and prevent fraud.

4. Legal basis for processing (for the RF and EU)

We process data on the basis of: Your consent given during registration. The need to perform a contract (terms of use of the service). Compliance with the legitimate interests of the Service (preventing spam and protecting users).

5. Disclosure to third parties

We do not sell your data. We may share some data only with: Sharetribe platform: on which our Service operates. Stripe payment system: to ensure secure transactions. Authorities: only in cases provided for by international law.

6. Cross-border data transfer

Given the nature of Mek Meku, your data may be processed in countries other than your country of residence (including Armenia and EU countries where the platform servers are located). By registering, You consent to such transfer.

7. Storage and protection of data

We store your data for as long as your account is active, or as long as necessary to fulfill legal obligations. We use SSL encryption and other modern protection methods.

8. Your rights

You have the right to: Request access to your data stored with us. Require correction of inaccurate data. Withdraw consent and request deletion of your account (and all related data). File a complaint with the supervisory authority for personal data protection.
